In week 8, baby’s face is still forming. The eyes are more obvious and have some color in them. The fetus will have a mouth and a tongue by this time and there will be beginnings of hands and feet with ridges where fingers and toes will be. All major internal organs like heart, brain, lungs, kidneys, liver, and gut are developing in week 8. Also the beginning of buds which will form baby’s genitals have as well made appearance but they have yet not developed fully to reveal whether you will have a baby boy or a baby girl.
In the early weeks especially from week 5 to 8, nutrition plays an important role in developing baby’s systems. You should eat healthy foods and remember a few tips like:
Limit the foods that upset your stomach and cause digestion problems.
Increase intake of fluids and keep yourself hydrated.
To avoid problem of iron deficiency, increase intake of iron. Not only take iron supplements but also add iron rich foods to your diet.
Eat small meals at different times of the day also follow balanced diet and eat healthy foods like fruits and vegetables etc.
Exercise is good for health but you should follow some steps:
Avoid exercises that put pressure on your belly.
Stop doing intense exercises that cause overheating.
Stop doing exercises that cause you pain and feeling of exhaustion.
Keep yourself hydrated.

Talk to your doctor about medicines and supplements that you are taking.
Ask about safe exercises.
Talk about the tests that you should consider during your pregnancy.
Discuss any problem that is causing you anxiety.
