Baby Development in Week 33

Your baby continues to gain weight, about half a pound every week. Your baby’s eye pupils can now feel dim or bright light and are adjusted just like yours pupil. Lungs continue to develop. White fat is building beneath your baby’s skin and because of this; your baby’s arms and legs look chubbier now. Now there is no room for amniotic fluid and it has reached to its maximum level. Your baby’s kicks now feel a bit more comfortable now.

Diet

Drink milk and eat milk rich products in third trimester because:

  • These are rich sources of calcium and your calcium requirement increases in third trimester.
  • Your doctor would suggest you some calcium supplements along with drinking milk and having milk rich products.

Exercises

In pregnancy, weight training is not good option because:

  • It can spike your blood pressure for short periods of time.
  • Loosened ligaments can leads towards injury.
  • Wait on lifting weights until you deliver baby safely.

Precautions

  • Follow the tips to stay safe in second trimester of your pregnancy:
  • Stays hydrated and drink lots of water.
  • It is good for you to adjust your exercise routine. Some women in 2nd trimester may suffer from problem of congestion but it’s good to keep a check on medications that you are taking to relieve from such problems.
