Baby Development in Week 30

From this week, your baby will continue to gain weight. Brain is still developing and expanding. The baby’s brain can maintain the temperature now so lanugos begins to disappear (lanugos are fine hair that provide warmth to baby’s body). Vernix, which is antimicrobial and protects baby from bacterial and fungal infections, covers your baby’s skin from head to toe. Your baby’s eyesight is also developing and baby can feel any light coming from outside environment

Diet

  • In third trimester, you should eat following foods:
  • Magnesium rich foods such as dark green leafy vegetables, nuts, whole grains and avocados.
  • Calcium rich foods such as broccoli cheese and beans.
  • Folic acid rich foods such as lentils, beans, eggs and oranges.
  • Iron rich foods such as breads, pastas, strawberries and apricots.

  • In third trimester, you should eat following foods:
